I ran across MonkeyRadio, maybe eight years ago (maybe longer), and it introduced me to a style of music that was completely new to me. I unfortunately lost the ability to listen to the stream several years ago, and I've just stumbled upon this blog. I'd like to express my gratitude for that introduction to triphop, downtempo, or whatever the proper taxonomy might be. K&D, Fila Brasilia, St Germain and DJ Krush were in heavy rotation on MonkeyRadio back then and they still echo through my place when the wine is flowing. Anyway, thanks for the music and if you get a chance email me with the best way to sample what you're listening to these days.

Most Gratefully,

I am glad that i found a way to reach you. I also like for years now to listen to Monkey Radio. It changed my taste in music. That is how i discoverd Tosca, Amon Tobin and others. Most of the tracks and artists were unknown to me before. Now and then i try to buy a cd by those artists.
That is why i have a question.
Monkey Radio streams a very interesting track of which the tag displays as "Mr.Chombee Has The Flaw"  by The Herbaliser. I visted the Ninja Tune website and others to find the CD. But when I listen to a track sample, it did not not sound like the track streamed on Monkey Radio. (Listen to a sample at thehits.musimob.com/product/724331/Herbaliser,+The/724346)... Is there maybe a tagging mistake on Monkey Radio? I do not know.
If I am right on this, would you be so kind to point to me the right artist(s) and CD. Thank you very much.

Re. my post of january 18th. I found the answer to my own question and I want to share this.
The track I heard om Monkey Radio is indeed one of The Herbaliser but the correct title is "Mrs Chombee Takes The Plunge [DJ Food re-bake]". I think it was first issued on Funkunfusion CD 2/2, track 15. It is brilliant.
The solution to my question was just playing the track to somebody's iPhone, then I got back the answer. Works great.

I have been an avid listener for years now, working in my home office your beats are as essential as fresh organic java, I can not thank you enough for making the rainy days and endless bombardments of mindless clients tolerable...keep it up. when I win the lottery I will buy you a Radio Station, the world needs to chillax...

Thanks for all the comments. :) Nice to hear from you all.

Han: I believe you're right, although it was labeled MRS Chombee at least. :) I'm fixing it now. Thanks.
